1940: Students in Joan Thomas' 4th Grade class pose beside the bus which would take them to St. Augustine otherwise known as the Carpales Manuscript building in Springfield. This pretend trip with a pretend St. Augustine and a real bus was organized by Miss Thomas. This same class performed in her production of Sleeping Beauty and Hansel and Gretel. What a fun year that must have been for these kids.
