Stella DeSha Thomas Gallery | Canyonography - Photographs by Marden Paul |
Antelope Canyon, near Page, Arizona (2) Photograph by Marden Paul After a few hours in the nether world, speaking with other visitors and reading up on the geology of the formation, flash flood fear sets in. The roar of an airplane overhead or the rumble of a truck brings images of cascading water and mud and the need to get out. Then you get over it. There is only one way out and one set of ladders though, and the further you stray, the more aware you become of the isolation. See Marden Paul's Desert White and Bryce Canyon, Mostly.
