Cabaret Vert Magazine from Hans Muller's Wire Spring Time by Yves Troendle

Advertisements, alabaster, aquarelle, rubber balls, wood balls, bamboo, banknotes, bone, artificial bone (of undetermined material), bottle of urine. When I run across something that looks right for the Cathedral I pick it up and take it home. There is a fond reunion, a great duet, for Zurga and Nadir had once suffered rivalry for the hand of the beautiful princess, Leila, whom they had seen together in the Temple of Candy. Two men can sustain the tension needed, as well as the romance. Well, the wedding day at last arrived, and the shepherd's daughter was brought in a glittering chariot drawn by six white horses. Their song, "In the Depth of the Temple," is melodic inspiration at its finest. As the structure grows, valleys, hollows, caves appear, and lead a life of their own. And sub-plots are fine, so long as emphasis remains on the romance.
